It is usually made of regular linen or cotton with plain colors. I decided to have some exclusively made by using genuine scottish Tartan, as a tribute to the punk culture. This one will definitely bring some spice on the table.

This one uses a lighter pattern, rather in a Ska way, but still rockin’. Imagine it in a raw cardboard table display, with some plants around…

Light² – Titanium plexiglas https://rolandlannier.com/en/couteaux/light%c2%b2-titane-plexi/ Thu, 03 Mar 2016 15:12:03 +0000 http://rolandlannier.com/?post_type=couteaux&p=395 Using a different mounting system, this one gets its rigidity from the titanium scales on the flanks. This allows to place a softer material such as plexiglas in the center and play with the transparency. Although this knife is mostly made out of metal, it is surprisingly light, thanks to the titanium.

Light² – Carbon Fiber https://rolandlannier.com/en/couteaux/carbone/ Thu, 03 Mar 2016 14:20:52 +0000 http://rolandlannier.com/?post_type=couteaux&p=371 Light as Hell and cool as a childhood video game. The carbon fiber is a highly scratch-resistant material. Just let the knife rest under a bright light for a few minutes in order to charge the luminescent material, then let there be fun!

Unbreakable handle, comes at a price though…

We used stickers from natural wine bottles and crushed tin foil caps. The result looks like punk bands posters from the 80’s, with oysters shells thrown in the middle. A picture can’t render the exact reflections of light and colors this material offers. We think it’s really cool!

Full tang mount, with copper or brass tubing instead of the 3 usual pins, for a change.
