For as long as I’ve been doing this job, I’ve heard that excellence necessarily comes at a price and that we’re lucky to have rich people around, because only the wealthy can afford our creations, thus allowing our traditions to live on.

We hear the same old tune about gastronomy, fine wines, luxury fashion, and cars… “We should never question the bourgeoisie, because without it, humanity would lose its most precious know-how”.

As time went by, I began to feel more and more like a pet of the system. I’m paraded around and praised, yet what my hands produce only pleases an elite, that clings more desperately every day to its privileges, because its social standing is only as high as, by contrast, the majority is kept down.

Now, as the wealth gap deepens, it’s clear this is getting us nowhere.

So it’s time for me to use my craft for people like me and offer what I do best to those who never get a piece of the pie.

For this product, we worked hard to find a shape that would fit our tools perfectly, require fewer steps, and simplify the entire process. We chose basic materials, strong and easy to work with. The same blade as in all our other knives, just slightly thinner, using less steel. A pure, reliable assembly.

The quality is identical to our other products, but these subtle adjustments have stripped the price to the bone, just enough to cover our costs and live to see another day. It’s as far as we could go, for something that’s built to last a lifetime.

The same goes for everything else: no unnecessary packaging, no price scaling, no middlemen. This knife will only be available here on the website or by reaching out to us directly. One price for all: 25€ apiece. We will only sell them to private customers and human-sized restaurants.
