When Chef Matt Orlando opened his restaurant Amass in Copenhagen, it was a strong inspiration to me. The concrete and metal warehouse with the graffiti creating this beautiful contrast with the delicate glasses and the comfortable furniture… And such a playful cuisine! So I kept this impression and a few years after, I was thinking about him and his place when I started making knife handles out of concrete. Then the feeling was so special when he asked me to make for him the very same concept he had already brought to me without even knowing it. Call it destiny.
